Warehouse Manager at Architectural Arts Millwork LLC

Description

Coordinate and oversee warehouse logistics and general operations of all warehouse functions. This includes receiving shipments of materials, storing and managing inventory and dispatching materials to the production floor and between facilities.  

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and direct the daily work activities of the Warehouse personnel
• This position is responsible for the hiring, termination, and annual reviews for the Warehouse personnel

Essential Functions

• Responsible for monitoring inventory transactions for accuracy
• Manage daily warehouse activities, including quality of work, inventory control, space management, logistics, and productivity to maximize efficiency
• Inspect the quality and quantity of goods and materials received in the warehouse
• Sort, prepare and stage goods and materials according to the specifications of the Work Orders.
• Work closely with the production and shipping departments to coordinate daily responsibilities.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished goods between loading docks, storage areas, and work areas.
• Complete the safety inspection of the forklifts, as required.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and safely.  
• Follow the prescribed safety regulations.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills 
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours (as needed)
• Proficient in warehouse or inventory software management
• Knowledge of construction and woodworking materials
• Skilled in warehouse procedures and policies
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
• Strong attention to detail and safety 
• Successfully complete the company’s Forklift Certification course and maintain current Forklift Driver certification

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• College or Associate Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred 
• Supply Chain Warehousing Certificate a plus
• Minimum 3 years warehouse management experience 
• Inventory background preferred

Physical Requirements

• This position will regularly require the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• This position will regularly require the stamina to climb on and off of the forklift machine throughout the day.
• Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
