What you'll do


We are seeking a IT Support Engineer II to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure Active Directory, and end-user support, with a strong customer service mindset and solid troubleshooting skills. The IT Support Engineer will handle day-to-day support tickets, manage user accounts and devices, escalate complex issues to senior engineers when needed, and assist with IT operational initiatives. This position is hands-on and critical to ensuring our employees remain productive in a secure, well-managed environment.


• Serve as Tier 2 escalation point for helpdesk tickets.

• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, email, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint issues.

• Resolve Windows, macOS, and mobile device issues, including Intune-enrolled devices.

• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to end users.

• Create, manage, and deprovision accounts in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

• Configure devices through Intune, enforce basic security policies, and support endpoint protection tools.

• Assist with software deployment, patching, and basic imaging.

• Follow established security and compliance procedures.

• Apply approved configuration changes under the guidance of senior staff.

• Monitor alerts and escalate suspicious activity or unresolved incidents to senior engineers.

• Maintain accurate records of support cases, resolutions, and system changes.

• Contribute to IT knowledge base and user training materials.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure and security initiatives, supporting as needed.


Qualifications

• 2–4 years of IT support experience.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).

• Experience with Azure Active Directory account administration.

• Familiarity with Intune or other endpoint management tools.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and escalate effectively.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, or CompTIA A+/Network+.

• Experience with security tools (Defender, antivirus, patching) is a plus.

• Exposure to regulated industries (banking, healthcare, insurance) a plus but not required.
