Position Summary

Dant Clayton is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Assistant to support the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. This role plays a vital part in maintaining proper inventory levels, performing cycle counts, conducting audits, and ensuring accurate documentation of materials across our aluminum fabrication and modular construction operations.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management systems. Success in this role requires balancing accuracy, efficiency, and communication while helping drive continuous improvements in warehouse and inventory control processes.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Auditing and Reporting:

• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations.

• Identify discrepancies between the inventory records and physical counts.

Collaboration:

• Provide feedback on potential issues and suggest solutions to improve inventory processes.

Continuous Improvement:

· Recommend process improvements to optimize inventory control.

· Stay updated with latest industry best practices and tools.

Documentation:

· Maintain accurate records for inventory movements, adjustments and returns.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field.

· Proficiency with inventory management software and tools.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

· Must be efficient in Excel and other Office Software and Syteline software

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

· Ability to stand, walk or bend for extended periods.

· Capability to lift or move items, sometimes heavy (up to 50 lbs.), within the warehouse.

· Requires working in a warehouse setting with exposure to changing temperatures and noise levels.
