Job Summary

Supports the Academy Manager in overseeing and managing both operational and strategic initiatives for talent development. Ensures consistent implementation of training standards, certification processes, and alignment with business strategies across the academy.

Job Responsibilities

Key Metric

Supervise the design and implementation of technical talent development pathways in alignment with project needs.

Programs are effectively scoped, designed, and implemented to meet technical and operational demands

Oversee the execution of curriculum creation, calendars, material quality control and evaluation Frameworks.

Training delivery is consistent, timely, and meets quality standards

Ensure academy functions as a center of excellence for learning quality and methodology. Academy is recognized for standardized, high-quality training practices.

Oversee development and delivery of T&C programs across the academy.    

T&C programs are delivered on time, aligned with business needs.

Manage budgeting and cost tracking for training initiatives with business line stakeholders.    

Training budgets are well-managed with clear cost tracking.

Lead identification and reporting of talent gaps and development needs by business line.    

Talent gaps are identified and addressed through actionable plans.
Supervise certification monitoring processes and standardization across academies. Certification processes are consistent, compliant, and effective.
Align with BL on project tenders to improve team capabilities and client-readiness.     Academy supports business line capabilities for client-driven projects.
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

- SHE Management System meets the current ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3 & SMKP standards and requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resource Development / Training and Development, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min.10 - 12 years experience in learning and development, training strategy, or instructional design.
  • Skilled in designing training modules, syllabi, and competency-based learning paths.
  • Ability to align training initiatives with business objectives and workforce development strategies.
  • Analytical and forward-thinking in identifying skill gaps and future capability needs.
  • Ability to manage the full life cycle of learning projects (timelines, deliverables, quality).
  • Understanding of mining operations, safety standards, technical roles, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, certifications, and best practices in education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
