Job Description:We are looking for a skilled Java & Rust Developer to join our aeronautics engineering team. You will contribute to the design, development, and validation of software components used in flight systems, avionics, and safety-critical applications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, experience with both Java and Rust, and an interest in developing robust, high-performance solutions that comply with aerospace standards :
- Design, implement, and maintain software modules in Java and Rust for aeronautical systems and tools.
- Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and test teams to define technical specifications and software requirements.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (DO-178C, ARP4754A, etc.) and internal quality processes.
- Develop high-reliability and safety-critical applications, with a focus on performance, memory safety, and concurrency.
- Integrate and test software on simulation environments and embedded platforms.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including design descriptions, test reports, and validation results. Participate in code reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Rust, with proven experience in software development projects.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, multithreading, and memory-safe programming.
- Familiarity with aerospace software standards (DO-178C, MISRA, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- Experience with embedded systems development or safety-critical applications preferred.
- Knowledge of Linux, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in multicultural teams, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus).
