The Food & Beverage Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. This position ensures a memorable dining experience by delivering food and beverages, anticipating guest needs, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide menu recommendations or answers to any questions
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- Deliver orders promptly and check in throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, ingredients, and allergy information
- Set up and break down service areas before and after each shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service
- Handle guest concerns professionally and communicate issues to management as needed
- Comply with all sanitation, health, and safety regulations
- Support team members and assist with side work, restocking, and other duties as assigned
- Upsell menu items and specials when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service standards
- Ability to operate POS systems accurately
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications preferred or required upon hire
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Must be able to lift and carry trays or items up to 30 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and moving throughout the outlet
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
