Job Description:This role leads strategic sourcing across packaging, display, and fulfillment categories. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and ensure operational excellence across a diverse vendor base. This individual will play a key role in optimizing purchasing workflows, enhancing supplier performance, and supporting scalable growth.
Qualifications:Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies across assigned categories
- Identify and evaluate second source and offshore suppliers
- Conduct RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs to support competitive sourcing
- Maintain and update supplier scorecards, lead performance reviews
- Monitor AVL to ensure robust supplier coverage across all categories
- Negotiate pricing agreements and blanket purchase contracts
- Market Intelligence & Cost Optimization
- Conduct market, spend, and specification analysis to identify value opportunities
- Define cost structures and supplier landscapes across key materials (e.g., folding cartons, plastics, accessories)
- Lead innovation partnerships and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop multi-year commodity strategies aligned with stakeholder needs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with production and customer service needs
- Support vendor onboarding and training sessions
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize freight and fulfillment sourcing
- Performance & Compliance
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards
- Prepare and deliver performance appraisals for purchasing staff
- Ensure sourcing practices align with company values and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and vendor ecosystems
- Experience with corrugated packaging, inventory control, and shipping logistics a plus
- Advanced project management and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High ethical standards and ownership mindset

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Travel: Up to 20% domestic travel required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
