Note: This is a Developmental Assignment for an Associate Investment Officer in IFC CSFDT, based in the Mumbai office starting in September, 2025 and will end in June, 2026. Only Term/Open Appointment Staffs are eligible to apply for this DAIS position. Applicants must secure their Manager’s approval before applying. Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of CSF’s Disruptive Technologies and Venture Capital team, focused on South Asia VC activities across direct investments, co-investments, and VC funds. The Associate Investment Officer will support both new business and portfolio supervision activities. India is one of IFC’s most active VC markets, with the highest level of deal activity and the largest portfolio within the Disruptive Technology space. The Associate Investment Officer will play a hands-on role in supporting all aspects of the investment cycle, with several client-facing opportunities.

This role offers a chance to work closely with founders, investors, and ecosystem partners in a fast-growing space, while gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology-focused deals. It is a unique opportunity to broaden skills in venture investing, deepen transaction experience, and build a strong network within one of IFC’s most dynamic practices.

Selection Criteria

•  Master’s or equivalent degree in domains like business, finance, or economics or science or engineering or pertinent industry areas.
•  At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, financial consulting, etc. 
•  Ability to conduct market and industry research and analysis. 
•  Strong financial, analytical, and modeling skills. 
•  Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, thoughtful scenario analysis, and diligence in the quality of one’s own work. 
•  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. 
•  Genuine dedication to development and to the World Bank Group and IFC’s mission, strategy, and values.
