Details of the role and how it fits into the team

European Credit Structuring is a cross-product structuring team of over 30 people, whose role is to devise, help originate and execute structured finance transactions of various types.

Credit Structuring is working alongside Deutsche Bank’s market leading Global Credit Financing & Solutions (GCFS) business. The team comprises product specific specialists from a broad range of professional backgrounds, working along-side traders to execute transactions of a particularly complex and structured nature.

Members of the structuring team are aligned with GCFS business units, including Transportation, Infrastructure & Energy, Direct Lending, Asset Based Finance, Portfolios and Credit Solutions. They are expected to participate in the origination, structuring and execution of non-standard transactions.

We are presently seeking an Associate level team-member for the SRT Securitisation team that is closely aligned with the Asset Based Finance business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in originating, structuring and placing innovative SRT Securitisation transactions for Deutsche Bank and third-party clients covering a wide range of underlying asset classes:

SRT securitisations of disclosed corporate portfolios SRT securitisations of granular portfolios (SME, consumer, trade finance) Synthetic securitisations related to specialised lending portfolios (CRE, Project Finance) and emerging markets exposures.

Your key responsibilities

  • Financial modelling of securitisation transactions, both from a regulatory as well as an economic perspective

  • Supporting origination efforts by contributing to client presentations and pitches

  • Working with external counsel on transaction documentation

  • Co-ordinating internal approvals and managing deal Q&A with internal stakeholders

  • Deal execution, liaising with clients and investors to ensure a smooth and well organised transaction process

Your skills and experiences

  • Associate level candidate with at least three years front office experience

  • Synthetic securitisation transaction experience gained in an investment bank, major commercial bank, rating agency or investment fund

  • True sale securitisation experience would be beneficial

  • Good knowledge of bank prudential regulation and securitisation regulation and strong technical and financial modelling skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Englisch, additional languages would be beneficial

  • Ability and willingness to learn and to work independently in a fast-paced environment towards tight deadlines

  • Degree level education, with any relevant further qualifications (e.g. MSc)
