NXP’s Front End Operations plays an essential role in the company’s success by ensuring manufacturing excellence and delivery of high quality, scalable, and cost-competitive semiconductor devices to create a winning advantage for our customers. 

Job Summary:

• This position interfaces with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Probe, and Manufacturing to successfully sustain multiple parts in CHD Fab by improving quality, yield, scrap and cost. Device Engineers serve as the primary liaison between the factory and the product, test and design teams.
• Specific duties include supporting volume production, troubleshooting process integration or qualification issues, yield enhancement, parametric trend monitoring, improving manufacturability and NPI qualification/production ramps

Key Challenges:

• Expect to do investigative work to find root cause
• This role provides an excellent opportunity to further your knowledge of device integration of multiple device technologies

Cross functional aspects:

• Interfaces with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Probe/Test Engineering, Test and Assembly sites, Yield Enhancement Engineering, and Manufacturing

Job Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree (bachelor’s or higher in electrical, chemical, materials engineering) with 15 (or more) years of experience in semiconductor (process, device, yield enhancement, failure analysis, product, test) is preferred
• Statistical Data Analysis skills (SPC, DOE, etc.) and Data retrieval skills (Klarity, Datalog, JMP,)
• Applicant must be organized, multi-tasking, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, analytical, decisive decision-making skills, and work effectively in a team environment
