Official Transcripts showing that you meet the minimum 30 hour requirement.

If you have a hard copy of your official transcripts (not a printed copy of an emailed transcript), please bring them to the Human Capital Management office. We will scan them into your file and give them back to you.
If you upload your transcripts to your application, they are considered unofficial.
Three (3) professional references. One (1) of the references needs to be from your current supervisor if you are working, your most recent supervisor if you are not. We recommend that you utilize coworkers, supervisors, and/or professors. Please do not use family members or friends as references.
Assume responsibilities of the classroom teacher as directed by the campus principal and/or designee; provide instruction in the absence of the classroom teacher. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as, district policies procedures and regulations.
Essential Functions
Check in with campus administrator/site coordinator upon arrival; provide site coordinator with the job number assigned by the computerized sub-finder system.
Comply with campus attendance and discipline procedures.
Provide student instruction and supervision as outlined in lesson plans.
Monitor student activities throughout the day inside and outside the classroom to include lunchroom and/or assigned duty.
Assist students with basic physical needs. Provide instructional modification and behavior management, as needed.
Keep records as assigned by the classroom teacher and/or site administrator or designee.
Document student progress and activities daily and at the close of the assignment.
Other Responsibilities
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties and support the goals of the district and division and follow district policies and procedures.
Participate in professional development activities as required by the district.
Maintain a professional code of ethics and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certification: Certified substitute teachers must have a valid Texas teaching certificate.
Thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college/university. Must have command of the English language to include the ability to read, write, and speak. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
