Cabrini Women’s Mental Health Service is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Clinician (social worker, occupational therapist, nurse, or psychologist) to join our supportive and innovative multidisciplinary team.

This is a unique opportunity to work in Australia’s first private, women-only mental health hospital, where we provide evidence-based, trauma-informed care in a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment.

About the Role

This part-time role (4 days per week) includes a regular Sunday shift.

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will:

  • Provide individual and group therapy, mental health assessments, and care coordination across inpatient and outpatient programs.

  • Work collaboratively with a skilled and diverse team to support recovery and improve psychological and social functioning.

  • Contribute your expertise to a service that values innovation, compassion, and continuous improvement.

💡 To acknowledge the requirement of Sunday work, these shifts are paid at time and a half. In addition, you’ll receive an extra week of annual leave (pro rata) each year. Many of our team find that while they work four days, their pay is comparable to a five-day week.

About You

You are a clinician who is passionate about women’s mental health and thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration (Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based individual and group interventions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.

  • Commitment to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice.

Desirable:

  • Training or experience in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CPT, schema therapy, or psychodynamic therapy.

  • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.

Why Join Cabrini?

  • Be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

  • Work in an innovative, evolving women’s mental health service.

  • Access to ongoing professional development, supervision, and training opportunities.

  • Make a genuine difference in the lives of women seeking recovery and support.
