Turndown Attendant

Department: Housekeeping Location: Franklin, TN

The Turndown Attendant plays an essential role in creating a serene and welcoming environment for our overnight guests by providing thoughtful turndown service and ensuring rooms are impeccably prepared for rest and relaxation.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and refresh guest rooms, preparing each space for evening use.

  • Restock bathroom and in-room amenities according to standards.

  • Fold and neatly place any clothing items left in the room.

  • Apply proper cleaning chemicals and techniques in compliance with OSHA regulations and property standards.

  • Deliver turndown service by priority order.

  • Replace used linens and terry with clean sets in accordance with property standards.

  • Remove room service trays, dishes, and carts to designated service landings.

  • Close drapes, adjust lighting, play soft music, and prepare the bed with evening turndown amenities.

  • Transport and secure cart with cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities to assigned guest rooms.

  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles.

  • Clean and refresh bathrooms thoroughly, ensuring sinks, mirrors, toilets, showers, tubs, and floors are spotless.

  • Realign furniture and ensure the room matches its standard floor plan.

  • Inspect furniture, fixtures, and amenities for cleanliness and condition, reporting any damages or maintenance needs.

  • Vacuum and deodorize guest rooms; dust and polish all surfaces including doors, windows, ledges, and telephones.

  • Ensure all safety and guest information materials (e.g., fire safety, rate cards, DND signs) are present and in good condition.

  • Update room status on assignment sheets promptly and accurately.

  • Handle guest requests or concerns with professionalism and care, ensuring satisfaction.

  • Return and restock carts at the end of each shift, and properly maintain all equipment.

  • Adhere to Lost and Found and key control policies.

  • Assist with cribs, rollaway beds, and stocking of supply closets as needed.

  • Support additional housekeeping duties as required by operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • 1�2 years of prior hotel housekeeping or related cleaning experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.

  • Guest relations training or prior experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures.

  • Ability to manage guest or team concerns with professionalism, courtesy, and patience.

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to perform physical work, including standing and walking for extended periods, and cleaning 14�16 rooms per shift.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Punctual, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent vocational training preferred.
