Resource Center Associate (Teachers Aide, Tutor); 25 hours per week; Escondido Location at Altus Schools North County

Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program in grades 6-12, and support operations of a community-based resource center. Resource Center Associates (RCA) are a key part of each resource center’s instructional staff. The RCA position is hourly and part-time, 25 hours per week. RCAs are role models for students and expected to look, act, and speak as representatives of the school at all times.

• Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent • Completion of two years college coursework from an accredited college or university (Minimum of 48 semester units)- Must attach official or unofficial transcripts to verify credit completion • Reliable transportation • Pass a work styles/behavior survey and math assessment • Clear background check by the Department of Justice and FBI • TB Clearance • Excellent organization, time management, and record keeping skills • Experience working with youth and specialized student populations preferred
