Job Summary
Examples of Duties:
-Organize and oversee all training, sporting events, and social and award activities for the Tri-Valley with help from partners.
-Organize and direct the Tri-Valley Area (Area) Leadership Team.
-Serve as liaison between the Area Leadership Team and the regional and state offices.
-Ensure all paperwork is completed and policies and procedures are adhered to by athletes, volunteer coaches, and partners.
-Maintain Area databases for athletes, partners, coaches, practices, sports, etc.
-Promote annual Special Olympics Bocce Ball Tournament and recruit DUSD leadership to participate in the games.
-Administrative duties, e.g. submission of receipts for reimbursement, distribution of fliers for events, etc.
Required Documents
Requirements:
-Physical Education or Special Education Credential – APE Added Authorization Highly Preferred
-Experience teaching special needs students who are precluded from participating in general education physical education programs.
-Ability to work independently, problem solve, and communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, SONC partners, and SONC administration.
-Ability to meet deadlines and make data driven decisions for large and meaningful sporting events.

Stipend: $15,000 for work completed August 2025 to June 2026
