Position Overview
United Veterinary Care is seeking a Marketing Specialist to assist our Specialty and Emergency hospitals to strengthen the connections within their local veterinary community. In this role, you will partner with local hospital leaders to plan and execute outreach efforts, build trust with referring veterinarians, and gather feedback that enhances the referral experience. This includes organizing Continuing Education (CE) events, open houses, and other engagement opportunities. You will also design and refine a practical, easy-to-use marketing playbook that all Specialty and Emergency hospitals can follow to grow their local presence. The Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Go-To-Market and is primarily remote with an expectation of up to 25% travel for meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate in-person visits to referring veterinary practices.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with referring veterinarians and their teams.
• Gather feedback from practices on how we can improve the referral experience
• Develop a simple, repeatable marketing playbook for our hospitals to use.
• Support local hospital teams with outreach ideas, materials, and tools.
• Track and share results of outreach efforts with leadership.
• Always represent United Veterinary Care professionally and positively.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 2 years in a veterinary-related role with direct experience coordinating marketing visits or acting as a liaison between practices.
• Experience in veterinary care in specialty, emergency, or general practice required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with new people.
• Organized and able to manage a schedule of outreach activities.
• Friendly, professional, and eager to help veterinary teams work together for the best patient outcomes.
• Willing to travel to hospital sites and referring practices.
Physical Requirements:
• Remote position with up to 25% travel.
• Frequent work at a computer for 90-100% of the time.
• Frequent to moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Frequent ability to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form to solve problems involving several variables.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch as well as manipulate (life, carry and move) up to 15 pounds.
