Hybrid – Buffalo, NYMoog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Technology Portfolio Office Manager to join our team!
As the Manager of the Technology Portfolio Management Office, you will oversee the effective management, coordination, and execution of the organization's technology portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the technology portfolio aligns with business priorities, drives value, and optimizes resource utilization. You will also work closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams to assess, prioritize, and manage the lifecycle of technology projects. We are looking for some with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to drive continuous improvement and deliver successful project outcomes.
To qualify for the Technology Portfolio Office Manager, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog…
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or PMP certification is a plus).
At least 10 years of experience in technology project management or portfolio management, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Strong experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Proven track record of managing a diverse technology portfolio across various business domains.
Experience with portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Clarity, Planview, Jira, etc.).
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of financial management principles, including budget development and tracking.
Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
Certification in Project Management (PMP, PgMP, etc.) is preferred.
Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite; we are unable to offer relocation assistance for this opportunity.
As the Technology Portfolio Office Manager, your responsibilities will include…
Establishing and enforcing portfolio management processes, standards, and best practices to ensure alignment with business goals.
Defining and implementing portfolio governance frameworks, ensuring transparency, accountability, and risk management.
Developing and maintaining an effective portfolio reporting structure, including dashboards, KPIs, and other metrics to track portfolio performance.
Working with senior leadership and business units to ensure the technology portfolio supports organizational strategic objectives.
Ensuring that all technology projects align with overall business strategies and goals, providing input into project prioritization and selection.
Facilitating portfolio reviews with business and technology leadership to assess project alignment, performance, and return on investment (ROI).
Coordinating the allocation of resources, monitor project progress, and identify potential risks or issues.
Working with project managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Managing the ongoing health and performance of active projects, ensuring they stay on track, within scope, and within budget.
Developing and managing the technology portfolio budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial stewardship.
Working with finance and business partners to track and report on the portfolio’s budget performance.
Ensuring that the portfolio is staffed appropriately, balancing internal and external resources to meet project demands.
Identifying, assessing, and managing risks across the technology portfolio, providing mitigation strategies and solutions.
Addressing any issues that arise, working cross-functionally to resolve challenges and remove roadblocks.
Escalating critical issues to senior leadership and facilitate timely decision-making.
Promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and trust.
Driving the evolution of the Portfolio Management Office by implementing process improvements, leveraging new technologies, and promoting best practices in portfolio management.
Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging portfolio management methodologies, incorporating them as appropriate.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $140,000.00–$180,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
