Role:
Perform recurring and assigned data analysis focused on delivering information useful for financial, member, marketing, and project-oriented business decisions, under minimal supervision. Assist other analytics team members as an analytics resource. Assist other employees and areas of operations with the application of data analytics tools and techniques to various business operations and processes
Essentials Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager in the development and utilization of member and business intelligence data analytics resources. Produce effective reporting, results, and findings. Assist with cost analysis including financial product, member, branch profitability, or other projects involving analysis and application of company and member data. Assist in various product, member, branch, and other operational profitability processes and systems. Assist with loan loss data and analysis.
- Provide data analysis compilation and support for various ongoing and one-time projects within the organization, participating on project teams as requested. Participate actively in identifying member, financial, and other data needed to address the objectives and needs of each project and provide appropriate data and analysis thereof. Acquire and join data sets from various internal and external sources, as needed. Prepare reports and presentations to promote understanding and utilization of analysis results.
- Assist in administration of organization data warehouse and reporting resources. Participate in enterprise-wide data standardization and data management activities. Assist in integration of data sources, maintaining data integrity and accuracy, and efficient processes for reporting and utilization of reports and data. Assist with user training of Tableau or other end-user interfaces.
- Demonstrate and teach data analytics methods and tools to other key employees to promote and broaden application of data analytics, such as in fraud analysis, internal audit, or other applications as identified.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field). Courses in statistics.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills:
• Competent knowledge of statistics, and using SQL/Tableau and other statistical analysis tools to analyze data and datasets.
• Ability to identify appropriate data available or to be acquired for a particular data analysis task.
• Adept at database queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate useful information with attention to detail and accuracy.
