JOB OVERVIEW:
Under immediate supervision of the Building Official or another person as assigned by Weber County, performs routine clerical work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs administrative and organizational office tasks to support a smooth operation and assist other staff members. The duties include answering phones, filing documents, data entry, scheduling appointments, managing email, and serving as the first point of contact for clients or customers
Fills in data on standard office forms; makes postings to various records; collates and assembles materials according to established methods and procedures.
Performs receptionist duties and provides information of a general nature or refers others to appropriate staff members.
Operates simple office equipment requiring no special training.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):
Knowledge: Some knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Skills: Skill in typing at 40 wpm.
Abilities: Ability to perform routine and detailed clerical and typing duties. Ability to make simple mathematical computations. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the general public.
