Our Home is looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler/Driver with a CDL to join our team of manufacturing professionals on 1st shift. As a Material Handler/Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper storage, movement and preparation of finished goods for shipment. This role involves working Monday - Friday from 7:00pm to 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Warehouse team to ensure that business goals around Safety, Training, Quality, Production, and Cost are met or exceeded
- Load and unload trucks as directed, ability to interpret reports and work orders
- Deliver finished product to offsite warehouse, pickup, and deliver to all locations required by company
- Transport and pickup good(s) to and from desired locations in a safe manner while complying with all DOT regulations
- Fill out truck, trailer, and forklift inspection reports, maintain current registration and DOT inspections
- Support counting, verifying, rotating, and putting away raw materials
- Ensure raw materials are segregated properly (Organic kept separate from non-organic-Allergens below non-allergens) when required
- Store stock in an orderly manner in designated locations per standard
- Follow FEFO best practices when transferring goods to storage locations and pulling stock for shipments
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment (sweep, mop, etc.)
- Comply with all GMP best practices
- Ensures that the highest safety and sanitation standards are maintained
- Supply the production lines with raw materials when required
- Follow all safety procedures regarding charging and watering forklifts
- Inspect shipments for any damage and follow claim procedures
- Report any issue with raw materials (expired, open, or contaminated)
- Wrap finished product pallets and load on trailers
- Pick product for shipments and record lot numbers when required
- Report issues with lot number and or quantities
- Report any issues with equipment (forklift, pallet wrappers, pumps, dock levelers, etc.)
- Perform any other duties as required by any Manager or Supervisor
Requirements
- Class A driver's license
- Forklift Certified
- Previous experience working in a warehouse and food manufacturing facility preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food Handler Certificate
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of RF Scanner
- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work well on a Team and be self-motivated and Independent
- Able to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
- Able to work over-time, weekends and Holidays if needed
- Must wear GMP-relevant/personal protective equipment such as hair/beard net, gloves, hearing protection
- Ability to work in a potentially hot, cold, or humid environment
