Title: Administrative Assistant: Fine and Performing Arts and Murray Arts Center


Reports To: Arts Program Manager

Qualifications: 

 College degree with preferred experience in arts, marketing, and social media; excellent verbal communication skills; impeccable organization and management skills. All duties and responsibilities are essential job functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. Job Description: 

  

The full-time Arts Administrative Assistant is the primary point of communication to all who seek information about MPCS arts, internally and externally. This position communicates internal needs of arts faculty and Murray Arts Center staff to the business office and physical plant operations and is highly collaborative with arts faculty and Murray Arts Center staff. 


Physical Requirements: 

Lifting boxes and other packages not exceeding 20 pounds; Ability to sit for long periods of time; Excellent cognitive and hearing abilities



Requirements

 

Responsibilities: 


The Arts Administrative Assistant is responsible for the following:

· Modeling appropriate Christian behavior in speech and actions

  

Information Management: collaboration with arts faculty and staff regarding Murray Arts Center curricular and extracurricular programs, schedules, rentals, and support tasks as assigned for arts events; general reception responsibilities for students, faculty/staff, parents, visitors, and independent contractors.


Student Management: attendance and tardy reporting; general assistance as assigned


Financial Management: Assist in record keeping for student billing and departmental purchases; experience/proficiency in database entry work a plus.


Content Collaboration: assist in managing arts marketing, scheduling, strategy, and social media channels.


Employee Handbook: Comply with conditions as stated in employment agreement and handbook
