Salary: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
 
The Debt Sales and Recovery Analyst supports the execution and management of debt sales and repossession transactions including recovery strategies for charged-off, dormant, or non-performing accounts. This role is responsible for preparing debt sale portfolios, maintaining accurate records, monitoring buyer performance, and providing data-driven insights to maximize recovery value and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform Portfolio Preparation, Analysis, and Reporting
  • Aggregate, validate, and prepare charge-off, bankruptcy, and judgment account data for sale
  • Analyze portfolio performance trends to identify opportunities for enhanced recovery or segmentation
  • Assist in forecasting expected recovery proceeds and tracks against targets
  • Prepare periodic reporting on debt sale performance, recovery KPIs, and repossessions
  • Collaborate with other Home Office departments to facilitate accurate reporting, settlements, governance and process alignment
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and profitability of sales and recovery
Support Transaction Purchases and Buyer Relations
  • Coordinate due diligence with prospective buyers, including secure data delivery and Q&A
  • Support the drafting and execution of Purchase and Sale Agreements, forward flow arrangements, and related documentation
  • Maintain transaction logs, status trackers, and reporting
  • Monitor buyer remittance, dispute resolution, and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including data security and customer handling requirements
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine buyer communications and inquiries
Support Centralized Repossessions
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant recovery of collateral
  • Track repossession statuses, resolve escalations, and maintain accurate records of repossession actions and outcomes
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • 1-2 years' experience in loan servicing, collections, or financial customer experience.
  • Displays high degree of accuracy and excellent problem and reasoning skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at a variety of levels and greatly differing social and business settings
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidential business and personal information
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze relevant information and apply individual judgement
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite products
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and rotating Saturdays if needed
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate and automobile
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting Economics, or a related field, preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
