Position Overview: The Senior Data Scientist supports the Program Management and Data Analysis (PMDA) Support Services for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This role will work to apply advanced analytics and machine learning to CBP datasets, enabling predictive insights and operational efficiencies.

Must have Top Secret Clearance or SCI Eligibility

Telework: May be authorized if approved by the COR/ACOR or APM.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop predictive models and algorithms
• Apply machine learning to investigative data
• Support decision-making with  data-driven insights
• Ensure compliance with DHS data policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, the sciences, or a related field of study
• 8 years specialized experience; or ten 10
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar tools
• Experience with federal or law enforcement data
• Strong statistical and modeling skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• DHS agency experience preferred
