Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) to drive strategic engagement and revenue growth with one or more of our most critical global accounts. This role is responsible for building long-term partnerships, managing complex multi-stakeholder relationships across regions, and aligning ams OSRAM’s solutions to our customers’ evolving business needs. The Global KAM serves as the single point of accountability for overall account strategy, commercial performance, and customer satisfaction worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Ownership: Lead and manage the global relationship with designated key account(s), acting as the central interface between the customer and ams OSRAM.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a global account strategy, including business development, revenue growth, and profitability targets.
  • Sales Execution: Drive design-wins, project pipeline development, and commercial negotiations across product lines and regions.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional teams (R&D, product management, operations, quality, legal, finance) to deliver on customer requirements and ensure seamless execution.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Own global forecast accuracy, account reporting, and executive-level communication internally and externally.
  • Market & Technology Insight: Provide deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to shape ams OSRAM’s product and technology roadmap.
  • Customer Advocacy: Ensure best-in-class service levels and act as the voice of the customer within ams OSRAM.
  • Governance: Manage account contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements in alignment with corporate policies.


Who we are looking for


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of sales or business development experience, with at least 5 years in key account management at a global or strategic level.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multinational customer engagements in the semiconductor, photonics, electronics, or automotive industry.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen with the ability to translate technology into customer value.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills at the executive level.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills; able to influence across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with long-term contracts, supply chain dynamics, and global customer support.
  • Fluent in English; other languages (e.g., German, Mandarin) are a plus.
