Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting your community’s healthcare needs? MCHC is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, supportive, and efficient experience at our clinics.
About the Role
As a PSR, you’ll greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and support clinic operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and warmth.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-up visits.
- Verify insurance eligibility and guide patients through financial assistance options.
- Assist patients with registration, forms, and use of the patient portal.
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain and update patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Experience with scheduling, insurance, or medical office work preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years’ experience in healthcare, in a similar position or in another industry, in a customer service role
- Bilingual, English/Spanish, fluent
