TITLE:  Senior Applications Analyst 

DEPARTMENT: GO: Enterprise Architecture & Apps     


JOB SUMMARY: 

The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions. This role will analyze complex business processes, identify areas of improvement and design innovate systems solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity and profitability. The Senior Applications Analyst will provide technical expertise to business owners for specific systems, managing the product lifecycle for supported applications and systems, including new releases and updates.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Communicate frequently with vendor support teams to ensure optimal service quality. 
  • Configure systems based on request from business partners. 
  • Maintain ongoing communication with vendors to understand product functionality and alignment with business needs. 
  • Collaborate with business owners and project team to manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation plans.  
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to provide innovative solutions while meeting business, compliance, security, and risk objectives. 
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge related to application and system integration. 
  • Serve as the central point of contact for enhancement requests from business owners and collaborate closely with third-party vendors.  
  • Understand data models to assist in the development and execution of native application reports. 
  • Improve systems by studying current use cases and identifying opportunities for innovative efficiencies and standardization. 
  • Own relevant system upgrades and understand their impact on business processes. 
  • Collaborate with Operations and bank partners to identify continuous improvement opportunities (training, procedures, system enhancements). 
  • Oversee and participate in system upgrades and enhancements including testing. 
  • Promote cross-training and knowledge transfer within IT team as well as business and operations partners. 
  • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements applicable to this position. 
  • Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or another related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Associate degree Required.  
  • Four+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with a focus on supporting and implementing software systems solutions. 
  • Understanding of software requirements and technical software documentation. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. 
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) framework is beneficial.  
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills. 
  • Excellent research and analytical skills. 
  • Strong sense of urgency with ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas to a non-technical audience. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Duties are performed in a professional office environment. 
  • Some travel may be required. 

  

SALARY & BENEFITS:

The minimum salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.
