Summary:
The Arc of Anchorage is seeking a compassionate and experienced part-time Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you’ll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing nursing assessments, care coordination, and oversight under the Medicaid Waiver Program. You will also serve as a key resource for staff and individuals supported by The Arc, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care in alignment with our mission and values.
This position involves working collaboratively with care teams, healthcare providers, and state agencies to support medically fragile children and adults in their home environments. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, training direct service staff, participating in care planning, and ensuring services meet health and safety standards. One of the key training duties will include regularly conducting an ABON approved Medication Administration class for direct support professionals.
Contract work may be considered for qualified candidates who meet the requirements and are interested in flexible arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (5 years and supervisory or discharge planning experience preferred)
- Valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and required training
