TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
$25.75 per hour
12 months and fringe benefits per contract.
QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of building construction, basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical skills and the ability to read blueprints.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The criterion indicated below are intended to describe various types of work that may be performed. The exclusion of specific responsibilities does not prohibit them if the work is similar, related, or a logical task of the position.
Participation in general repairs to plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general mechanical areas.
Assists in remodeling and renovation work.
Assists in the responsibility for the general security of the building.
Assists in the responsibility for the general fire safety of the building.
Performs emergency repair or cleaning services as necessary.
Makes necessary minor building repairs.
Reports major repair needs promptly to the Supervisor of Building and Grounds.
Assists with the completion of preventative maintenance duties.
Maintain and care for school grounds to ensure conditions are safe and attractive.
Reports immediately to the Supervisor or Director of Building and Grounds any damage to school property.
Remains on the school premises during school hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and attendance requested by the district.
Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the Administration.
Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to insure economical usage of fuel, water and electricity.
Checks and maintains refrigeration equipment as needed.
Assists with summer helpers and other summertime projects within the district.
Adjusts and repairs all equipment and tools used for proper maintenance of school and school property.
Supervision, operation, and responsibility of the theater lighting, sound and event set ups.
Maintain theater including stage, curtain, lighting and electrical, sound and storage of the immediate area in and around the theater.
Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate degree of physical stamina with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to move freely to various locations within the office and school settings. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending. Frequent repetitive activities including hands, arms and legs for maintenance related work.
