NON-PUBLIC SCHOOL NURSE Part-Time $36.000 Per Hour Great Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Non-Public School Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on providing assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, management and/or referrals concerning the health and medical care needs of community students, creating healthy and safe school environments.
Work Schedule
Tuesdays: 7:45 – 3:05 Villa Maria Upper School
Wednesdays: 8:00 – 3:00 St. Patrick’s School
Thursdays: 8:15 – 3:15 Villa Maria Upper School
Responsibilities
- Maintains health records according to state mandates including, but not limited to, immunizations, physical exams and dental exams
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive list of student medical conditions for each school and shares essential information with designated teachers and administrators on a need-to-know basis
- Performs screenings for vision, hearing, and height/weight/BMI as mandated for each grade level
- Maintains inventories and orders supplies within budget parameters
- Provides referrals for health screening failures
- Provides first aid for injuries and general illness care
- Keeps statistics for annual reports on nursing services
- Creates health plans for children with severe medical conditions as directed by students’ physicians
- Provides other nurse services as directed
Qualifications
- Registered professional nurse (RN) as defined and determined by state law, and currently licensed in the state
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
