MANTECH seeks a talented and experienced Modeling and Systems Engineer to join our team in Crane, IN. This is an on-site position.In this role, you will be responsible for performing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing the SysML v2 language for implementing solutions using a variety of M&S tools. You will be a key player in designing and analyzing complex, multi-domain systems from initial concept through to deployment. You will use your expertise in MBSE to create and manage the authoritative digital model for our systems, ensuring that design decisions are informed by robust data and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, a deep understanding of modeling languages, and a passion for leveraging modern tools and methodologies to solve complex engineering problems. You will work closely with systems architects, engineers, and software developers to define system requirements, design architectures, and ensure seamless integration across various domains.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Using Cameo Systems Modeler to build high-fidelity SysML v2 models of Navy/Defense platforms, systems, and processesCreating and developing novel approaches to integrate SysML v2 models of Navy/Defense platforms, processes and proceduresDesigning and developing high fidelity simulations using COTS, GOTS, and open-source simulation tools such as Ansys STK; Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM); Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE); and Next Generation Threat System (NGTS)Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from simulations to inform decision-makingPerforming quality assurance reviews of models and other work productsMaintaining configuration management of models and model repositoriesWorking with cross-functional teams to translate system requirements into detailed, verifiable modelsUtilizing and potentially contributing to the development of SysML v2 tooling and APIsPerforming model analysis, simulation, and validation to ensure system integrity and performanceDocumenting system designs and architectures clearly and conciselyUp to 25% travel to CONUS locationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field from an ABET-accredited program3+ years of experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, Ansys STK, MATLAB, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or open-source alternative)Strong proficiency in at least one prior modeling language, such as SysML v1.x, UMLExperience with systems engineering principles and the MBSE approachPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following mission-level simulation and analysis tools: AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling): Experience in building and running force-on-force simulations, STK (Systems Tool Kit): Hands-on experience modeling and analyzing aerospace systems, including orbits, sensor coverage, and mission planning, ITASE (Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment): Experience in modeling and analyzing threats in a simulated environment, or NGTS (Next Generation Threat System): Experience with this specific threat simulation and analysis frameworkExperience with shipboard control systems, operational technology, and/or network infrastructureFamiliarity with other systems engineering standards and practices (e.g., ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288)Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java for scripting and tool integrationExperience in the defense industryClearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active TS/SCIPhysical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeOccasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
