Key responsibilities:

 

  • The end-to-end accountability for strategy, operation, and optimisation of Atos’s cloud delivery and application operations functions. 
  • Leads the delivery of service from these teams, supporting the critical services for UK&I customers.
  • Plays a pivotal part in enabling digital transformation, modernising the delivery of our cloud service and supporting sustained business growth by ensuring the reliability, security and performance of Atos’s cloud and application operations services. 
  • The ability to influence change and a mindset that is not afraid to challenge the norm.
  • Working with suppliers, the Atos CTO community, and the Atos global organisation, evaluate emerging technologies to maintain a technical roadmap that balances investment in modernisation with the benefits of hardware, tooling, or software refresh and modernisation.
  • Actively contribute to the evolution and shaping of the strategic direction and continuous evolution of the Data, AI, Cloud & Modern Infrastructure business line. This includes actively participating in strategic planning sessions, contributing innovative ideas, and collaborating with other Atos teams to support the alignment of the business line's overall objectives with Atos.

 

Key outcomes:

 

  • Drive reductions in total cost of ownership/service through standardisation, automation, CI modernisation, and effective vendor management.
  • Implement and monitor CI controls to ensure data security, risk management, privacy, and regulatory compliance, including patch and vulnerability management. Establish governance processes that mitigate operational and cyber risks.
  • Work with other Atos delivery functions, account teams, the UK&I leadership team, the Atos global organisation, and external partners to ensure infrastructure delivery aligns with strategic objectives and evolving requirements.
  • Define and realise the synergies that exist between Cloud, Data, and AI to ensure our offering supports our growth plans and is seen as an industry leading.  Leverage the power of data analytics, artificial intelligence and cloud to create innovative solutions to drive efficiency, enhance customer experiences and provide a competitive edge. Collaborating across the business line to integrate these technologies into our operations.
  • Evidence of working with other internal parties to drive continuous improvement through event tuning, root cause automation and predictive analytics.

 

Key competencies:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong understanding cloud landscape.
  • Experience in delivering operational public cloud services from and is able to manage complex multi-cloud environments across major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google), ensuring best practices in architecture, deployment, governance, and vendor relationship management in line with Atos’s operating blueprint.
  • Experience of leading/governing cloud migration programs, including assessment and planning through execution and optimisation, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Has a deep awareness and interest in evolving cloud technologies and the influence of AI, and is able to identify and build a delivery model that suits Atos and the growth plans to return to sustainable profitability.
  • Can provide significant experience in developing and modernising a cloud business line that is able to meet growth targets
  • Experience of budget preparation and the delivery of service to that budget envelope. Using the financial information available to them they are able to explain the cost of their service, the levers that drive cost and has experience of optimising operational cost (both people and 3rd party vendor spend) to improve operating margin.
  • Evidence of working with other internal parties to drive continuous improvement through event tuning, root cause automation and predictive analytics.
