SUMMARY
The Sorter is responsible for inspecting and sorting manufactured parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role supports production by identifying non-conforming parts and maintaining accurate records of inspection results. The Sorter plays a key role in upholding product quality and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Visually inspect and sort parts based on defined quality criteria.
- Use basic measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
- Identify and separate non-conforming parts.
- Accurately document inspection results and quantities.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate quality concerns to the Lead Sorter or Supervisor.
- Support quality audits and improvement initiatives as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ Years of machining preferred but not required
TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to enter data into automated systems (e.g., PLEX).
- Use of measurement devices… Calipers, Micrometers, optical comparator, load testers
- Computer skills
- Regular and consistent attendance is essential.
