RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide project management leadership and advanced expertise to project groups under limited guidance
- Lead, develop, and coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management
- Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost
- Monitor performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions
- Responsible for a portfolio of electric utility infrastructure projects
- Lead independent or bundled projects and on-site construction oversight
- Manage a variety of construction and professional services contracts
- Develop expert knowledge of the organization, processes, best practices, and customers while producing possible solutions to complex project challenges
- Mitigate risk by identifying potential project setbacks and opportunities. Requires decisive decision-making skills, substantial knowledge, and experience in own discipline
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), or other relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification program preferred
- Master’s Degree in business administration or project management is preferred, but not required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Eight years or more of directly related experience in project management, project development, engineering, construction, and/or related field required
- Gas and water utility, infrastructure, or industrial fields experience preferred
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position will report regularly in person to Superior, WI
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as some travel is occasionally required within Superior Water Light & Power service territory
- Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively establish, build, and maintain positive and productive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Must possess analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- The expected annual compensation range for this position is $98,000 - $122,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
