Position: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

Controls all products in storage, ensuring that all materials are received, issued, and counted regularly and rotated on a FIFO basis. Schedules shipments and receipts according to customer requirements and the facility’s production schedule. Maintains accurate perpetual inventories on all finished goods, components, and raw materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the scheduling of production to ensure the factory produces products to meet sales demand.
  • Organize and maintain stocks of finished goods in line with agreed parameters while balancing factory efficiency and labor utilization.
  • Calculate and compile monthly inventory accuracy and productivity benchmarks.
  • Responsible for monitoring Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage the quality levels on all production to satisfy both company and customer expectations.
  • Control the transfer of finished goods from the factory to finished goods warehouse ensuring that the quantities agree with the company’s ERP perpetual inventory records.
  • Ensure work orders are correctly filled in and captured.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, records, and audits.
  • Plan, manage, and communicate storage capacity requirements.
  • Ensure quality, delivery, and budget objectives are met.
  • Communicate with customers by email, fax, and telephone as required or directed.
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
  • Plant, select, develop and maintain suitable manpower capabilities for warehouse functions.
  • Develop, lead, and maintain a competent and motivated logistics team.
  • Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
  • Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
  • Identify specific environmental requirements of the customer.
  • Ensure that the Environmental and Safety policies are followed.
  • Comply with the procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
  • Promote the fulfillment and awareness of customer requirements, of quality system requirements, and all relevant state, federal, and local legal and regulatory requirements in Environmental and Safety aspects.
  • Initiate corrective actions in the event of non-compliance with legal requirements or situations of environmental risk.
  • Designate the responsibility and authority to ensure that the requirements of the IMS are established, implemented and in accordance with the standards.
  • Designate the responsibility and authority to inform the Management of the operation of the IMS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Warehouse Manager in manufacturing/production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Warehousing within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager or Plant manager.

Physical Demands

  • Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
  • Position also requires period of up to 3 hours per day of sitting and/or standing in the conduct of work.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs to shoulder height.
