Lamar's Corporate office is now hiring a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of facilities management for Lamar’s Corporate headquarters and provide support in the management of its broader portfolio of facilities. In additon to ensuring that our Corporate office is maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance, the person in this role will work collaboratively with a team responsible for fielding, evaluating and managaing all facility-related requests, projects and initiatives across the organization. This position is also responsible for supervising and managing the Corporate Custodian, Receptionist, and Administrative Assistant – TLC Properties.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Language & Communication – Excellent command of the English language, with strong verbal and written communication skills to document issues, prepare reports, and foster clear understanding across departments.
  • Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, emergency power), safety regulations, preventive/corrective maintenance, and vendor management.
  • Detail Orientation – High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in inspections, budgeting, work order management, and compliance tracking.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Ability to navigate sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism, fostering positive relationships with staff, vendors, and leadership.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity – Demonstrated trustworthiness in handling confidential information and maintaining discretion in sensitive matters.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving – Ability to gather, evaluate, and summarize data, identify issues, and recommend/implement effective solutions.
  • Leadership & Collaboration – Strong leadership skills to supervise staff and contractors, while working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to meet organizational goals.
  • Time & Task Management – Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and balance long-term planning with daily operational needs.

Education and experience:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.

Licensing

  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, building operations, or maintenance, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, service contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with building systems and general trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a corporate or multi-site facilities management environment is a plus.
  • Prior work requiring a strong understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and maintenance best practices.

Certifications (Preferred but not required)

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar credential.
  • OSHA Safety Certification, HVAC/Electrical licensing, or other relevant trade certifications.
  • Journey Level certification in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing is preferred.

A day in the life:

  • Corporate Facilities Oversight – Direct daily operations and maintenance of Lamar’s corporate headquarters, ensuring the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance. Oversee all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and life safety) and grounds; perform and supervise skilled trades work as needed.
  • Life Safety & Preparedness – Refine, implement, and monitor safety protocols, disaster preparedness plans, and weekly facility safety checks.
  • Staff Leadership – Supervise and manage the Corporate Custodian, Receptionist, Administrative Assistant – TLC Properties, and front desk functions.
  • Vendor & Service Management – Oversee facility service providers, national vendors, and maintenance contractors, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Work Order & Request Management – Field, evaluate, prioritize, and track corporate facility maintenance requests and work orders; assist in coordinating facility-related requests, projects, and initiatives across Lamar’s broader portfolio.
  • Inspections & Preventive Maintenance – Conduct routine building inspections, develop preventive/corrective maintenance programs, and maintain warranties/agreements on equipment.
  • Emergency Systems – Manage the operation, testing, and maintenance of the backup generator.
  • Budget & Reporting – Lead and submit annual budget development and tracking for plant maintenance and capital improvements; participate in performance reporting and asset tracking.
  • Standards & Collaboration – Help develop company-wide standards for facility maintenance and fixed asset procurement; collaborate with AFMs and local managers on facility need across Lamar’s portfolio.
  • Procurement & Contracting – Solicit bids, negotiate contract terms, and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.
  • Other Duties – Perform related responsibilities as required to support the safe, efficient operation of facilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%.
