We're looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented TIG Welder who is passionate about craftsmanship and takes pride in their work.
As a TIG Welder at Raycap, you'll play a hands-on role in fabricating high-quality assemblies with stainless steel and aluminum using the GTAW process. You'll collaborate with skilled professionals in a safety-first environment and be trusted to deliver fine, cosmetic welds with minimal distortion.
Shift: Monday - Friday (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) with overtime as required.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Welding prefabricated assemblies with exacting precision
TIG welding thin-gauge stainless steel and aluminum components
Reading and interpreting blueprints to fabricate simple to complex assemblies
Inspecting welds for quality, size, and finish
Setting up welding machines independently
Logging time and work progress in job routers
Communicating with Shop Leads on timelines and quality checks
Assisting teammates and participating in shop clean-up
Working within ISO 9001 quality standards
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
4+ years’ experience TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel
Proficiency in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW for mild steel
Ability to read and follow WPS documents and blueprints
Comfort using fabrication tools like tape measures, angle finders, fillet gauges, and hand tools
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform the physical duties of the job
Bonus points for:
NDT Certification
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems
Physical Demands:
- The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls
- Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to walk, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
