POSITION SCOPE:
The Production Supervisor is a key leader responsible for overseeing multiple production lines and their associated teams, ensuring a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This role demands critical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to identify opportunities for operational enhancements. The Production Supervisor will guide, mentor, and empower team members while ensuring adherence to production goals, safety standards, and food quality requirements.
REPORTS TO:
Operations Manager
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Leadership and Team Development
o Actively promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the production environment.
o Coach, train, and empower Line Leads to manage their teams effectively, foster respect, and drive ownership of assigned lines.
o Participate in the hiring, orientation, and professional development of employees, ensuring cross-training for skilled roles.
o Provide consistent feedback and performance evaluations, issuing corrective actions when necessary.
· Operational Excellence
o Develop and execute daily production plans in collaboration with Line Leads, ensuring proper staffing and workflow.
o Monitor line efficiencies and work closely with the maintenance department to address equipment issues, conduct root cause analyses, and minimize downtime.
o Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
· Safety and Quality
o Lead regularly scheduled safety meetings, reinforcing compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
o Conduct thorough food safety and quality checks, ensuring products meet customer specifications, including ingredient expiration, date coding, and packaging standards.
o Oversee sanitation protocols, conducting daily inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards.
· Communication and Reporting
o Maintain open, team-oriented communication with peers, employees, management, and customers.
o Utilize the timekeeping system to monitor payroll and attendance records.
o Administer company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bilingual (Spanish/English)
· 3-5 years of supervisory experience in Food Packaging/Manufacturing
· Highschool or GED
· Red Zone Experience (preferred)
· Fishbowl Experience (preferred)
