Job Summary
The Production Operator at Mate Precision Technologies is responsible for operating various machines and performing related tasks within the Blank Department on 2nd Shift to support efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform various production operations, including sandblasting, cutting, drilling, operating arbor presses, bandsaws, and pinning.
- Operate overhead hoists to transport materials to the saws for processing.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance to ensure proper functionality.
- Inspect work using gages and inspection devices to verify conformance to specifications.
- Consistently meet productivity and quality standards, while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Follow established work schedules and meet delivery objectives.
- Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promptly report machine or process problems and variances.
- Collaborate with others while being open-minded, responsive, and supportive of others’ efforts to succeed.
- Demonstrates integrity by being dependable, having good judgment, being honest, and taking responsibility for their actions.
- Respectful of others, encouraging others to share their ideas, actively listening to others, and showing common courtesy.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as Oracle or Factivity) preferred.
- Prior forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Frequent standing, reaching, and walking.
- Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and some chemicals.
- The work environment noise level is typically moderate.
Pay, Work Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Range: $17.96 – $24.16/hour, plus an additional $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift.
- Work Hours/Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
- or Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
