Job Overview
Renewal By Andersen – SLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Window Installer to join our Idaho Falls team. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead residential window and door installations from start to finish—ensuring quality craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and a clean, safe job site. You’ll also mentor Installer Helpers, helping them grow in the trade while maintaining our high standards.

Position Details
Schedule: Standard working hours fall Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with occasional weekends based on project needs.
Pay: $70,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience and project volume.
- Paid hourly ($25/hr) for training, PTO, and holiday time
- Piece Rate Pay available for installations
- Mileage considerations included
- Overtime paid at a variable rate based on weekly Piece Rate earnings
Position Type: Full-time, benefited, non-exempt, at-will position
Responsibilities
- Remove current windows and doors safely and effectively
- Install all windows and doors plum, level, square, and straight in the opening
- Ensure all openings are foamed and insulated properly
- Ensure caulk lines are clean and uniform
- Install interior and exterior trim up to industry standards
- Maintain proper etiquette on the jobsite, including but not limited to protecting the homeowner’s home and maintaining a clean workstation (e.g., drop cloths, furniture covers, etc.)
- Comply with all lead safety training and complete all paperwork when applicable
- Abide by the Workplace Safety guidelines as outlined in detail in the employee handbook
- Complete all documentation including Lead docs, completion forms, and invoices
- Mentor Installer Helpers—sharing skills, building confidence, and fostering teamwork
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on job requirements and company needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of customer service experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of window installation or remodeling experience (required)
- Must have a reliable truck
- Enclosed Trailer and Metal Brake will be supplied as needed
- Willingness to coach and mentor others
- Ability to handle conflict with professionalism and tact
- Ability to follow and understand basic job safety protocols and company safety standards
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to meet customer scheduling needs, including timely arrival for shifts
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather and lighting
- Fit windows and doors into tight spaces per manufacturer specs
- Use hand and power tools like hammers, drills, saws, pry bars, and tape measures
- Climb ladders, ramps, and scaffolding safely
- Lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ lbs of materials and equipment
- Stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, and twist for long periods
- Reach overhead and handle tools with control and accuracy
- Travel reliably between job sites as needed
- Work near others while maintaining respectful spacing
- Tolerate noise and exposure to caulking, paint, solvents, and other materials
- Communicate clearly with teammates and homeowners
- Follow safety protocols and stay alert on the job site
