Join our dynamic team as an Entry-Level Structural Engineer and begin your journey designing and detailing bridges and other infrastructure projects across the Midwest. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside seasoned professionals on impactful projects that serve growing transportation needs.


Responsibilities include:

  • Complete the design calculations and plan preparation for both new bridge, bridge rehabilitation, and retaining wall projects in alignment with applicable design standards and specifications
  • Perform in person site visits and inspections of existing bridges and culverts and prepare and submit required reports
  • Complete concept development and perform bridge sizing of proposed structures
  • Complete quantity computations, cost estimates, and special provisions required for structures projects
  • Complete bridge load ratings

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Previous internship experience in civil/structural engineering
  • Strong interest in structural engineering and transportation infrastructure
  • Familiarity with design standards and specifications (AASHTO, DOT guidelines) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar)
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • EIT registration a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
