Job Description:
Job Type: Hourly
Pay: $45,000 - $50,000 annually
Schedule: Day Shift
Work Location: Hybrid
Summary:
As an HR Generalist at OKIN Process, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's success by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on a range of HR matters and ensuring that our workforce remains engaged and motivated. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about contributing to organizational growth and development.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance
- Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
- Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
Requirements
Soft Skills:
· Ability to empathize with others to better address concerns, foster a supportive environment, and build stronger relationships
· Ability to mediate disputes, address employee concerns, and maintain a positive work environment
· Ability to maintain accuracy in payroll processing
Required Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of experience in HR or a related role
· Familiarity with timekeeping and payroll processing
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
· Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
· Knowledge of HRIS, ATS, and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
· Ability to handle sensitive information securely and maintain employee privacy
