Title: Information & Assistance Volunteer (Front Desk/Phone Line) — Area Agency on Aging
Location: 14 S Chestnut St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 (on-site at our office)

Help Older Adults in the Pikes Peak region get connected to the right resources—fast. As an Information & Assistance Volunteer, you’ll be a friendly, professional first point of contact on our phone line and provide light office support that keeps our team running smoothly.
What you’ll do
· Answer and triage incoming calls; listen, identify needs, and share appropriate community resources
· Route calls to the correct in-office staff and take clear messages when needed
· Provide light administrative support (data entry, printing, scanning, filing)
· Log basic call details and outcomes to support quality service
· Keep resource lists current (with staff guidance) and flag new events/programs we learn about
Schedule
· We’ll work around your availability (weekday shifts; set a regular time or rotate)
· Ideal for someone who likes a consistent, office-style rhythm (4 hour minimum with additional hours available)
· Start date: ASAP after orientation
Training & support
· Orientation to our phone system, privacy practices, and resource directory
· Ongoing support from Information & Assistance staff—work independently with a team at your back
· All materials provided
What you’ll bring
· Warm phone manner, reliability, and comfort using a computer for lookups and note-taking
· Ability to handle confidential information with care
· Bonus: prior office/administrative experience, social services interest, or bilingual skills
