The Lake Havasu City Fire Department (LHCFD) is seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our team as a Paramedic/Firefighter Apprentice! This isn't just a job; it's a launchpad into a vital public service, where you'll learn the ropes from experienced professionals and make a real difference in your community.

What You'll Do

As a  Paramedic/Firefighter Apprentice, you'll be immersed in the exciting world of emergency response, participating in:

  • Hands-on and classroom training: Learning critical firefighting and emergency medical skills.
  • Emergency Response: Assisting and participating in emergency calls under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
  • Daily Shift Activity: Becoming a part of a dedicated team, participating in training, community risk reduction initiatives, and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Community Engagement: Representing the LHCFD at events like school presentations and community gatherings.
  • And More! Supporting the Fire Department in various ways and tackling exciting challenges as they arise.

What It Takes

We're looking for individuals who are:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Mohave County residents.
  • High school graduates or have a GED.
  • Currently enrolled in EMT B program or certified EMT B.
  • Physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of the job.
  • Eager to learn and a team player.
