Austin Center for Endodontics is excited to add a hardworking, full-time Registered Dental Assistant to the team! We are a specialty dental (Endodontic) practice that is looking for a caring individual with great people skills who works well with others.
Our modern office is located 3 miles north of downtown Austin. The office is committed to excellent patient care in a warm, comforting environment. Teamwork and mutual respect are big part of our office dynamic.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort.
- Take and record vital signs and patient assessments
- Perform medical imaging, such as dental x-rays, as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health record systems.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow within the dental office.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in dentistry preferred.
- RDA license is required.
- We will train you but a natural ability to pick up new systems quickly and pay close attention to details is a must.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessments.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to infection control.
