Job Overview:
The Division Manager plays a key role in driving the success and growth of our operations within the designated division. This position requires strong leadership skills, including a proven track record of developing strong teams. The position is responsible for managing multiple divisions’ profit and loss statements monthly with the assistance of financial leaders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple divisions consisting of field services staff and operations manager(s).
- Drive Colt’s safety culture through all levels of the division(s)
- Manage the divisional P&L ensuring cost and profitability levels are achieved with the goal of growth year over year.
- Responsible for the development and coaching of field level technicians along with operations manager(s).
- Review and approve scopes of work ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Ensure service dates and customer commitments are met.
- Coordinate field services labor scheduling and collaborating with neighboring division to achieve optimal staffing levels for the scheduled jobs.
- Establish and maintain customer relations at various levels within the customer organization.
- Coordinate with territory sales staff in obtainment of sales plans and revenue goals.
- Prepare various reports to provide to regional management including safety, financial, technical, etc.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager and the other Division Managers to identify and implement best practices, new programs, and other necessary changes to the business.
- Build and maintain a cohesive and safe working environment.
- Represent Colt with honesty in day-to-day duties.
- Maintain Colt’s values in both action and appearance.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- 10+ years of experience in industrial services, preferably in leak sealing or mechanical services
- 5+ years of experience managing a team of more than 5.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing and able to train and develop a team and future leaders
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- High driven, self-motivated, well organized and willing to cover a broad territory within multiple states.
- Must be able to safely operate a vehicle and make face-to-face customer meetings.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean record.
- Ability to adapt to ever changing schedules and priorities (24 hour emergency service)
- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program.
