About your role:

The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning cars at the dealership, maintaining safe, clean equipment, and displaying a positive, professional attitude to customers and coworkers. This position is responsible for performing a complete detail cleaning of the interior and exterior of all automobiles’ makes and models. They are responsible for providing fast, accurate, high-quality, and efficient service.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and detailed vehicles both for customer delivery and presentation on the lot.
  • Cleans, waxes, polish, refurbishes, and detail collision-damaged vehicles, as well as old and new vehicles.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure the highest quality service.
  • Understand and deliver on specific customer requirements.
  • Maintained proper function of all service tools and equipment.
  • Directly report any damage to the supervising manager in a clear and timely fashion.
  • Coordinate and arrange work effectively with team members.
  • Maintain excellent standards and quality of service to represent the McDonald’s dealership positively.
  • They take pride in their finished product, strive for excellence in their work, and focus on the expected attention to detail.
  • Cleans and maintains the detail bay daily.
  • Follows and adheres to all company safety policies, rules, and training.
  • Completes specifically assigned opening or closing duties based on scheduled shift.
  • Follows Company safety policies and practices and immediately reports all accidents to the Manager/Supervisor.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
  • Follow scheduled hours as defined by your manager.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Type of Experience Needed to be Successful:

  • 1-3 years of experience in service and/or detail shop is preferred.
  • 1 year of automotive or detail experience is preferred.

Specialized Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license to drive any customer or company vehicle.
  • Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
  • Desire to continue learning and ability to adapt to changes in technology and equipment.
