The DME Service Liaison has direct responsibility for all aspects of the DME service as outlined in the DME Service Coordinator with the additional responsibility of working with the oxygen patients providing set up of equipment in home and in the hospital. This position ensures: processes are in place to support exceptional customer experience, high quality equipment is available and easy to understand and use, DME equipment and processes are effectively integrated into business and clinical operations, and all customers have an exceptional experience.
Job Expectations:
- Develop and coordinate care protocols and DME set-ups for Fairview Health Service patients.
- Develop, implement, and manage inventory control process in collaboration with vendors and FV support services to ensure care plans are executed appropriately.
- Maintains and tracks inventory
- Ensures patient care needs are served in a timely manner
- Ensures inventory costs are in line with departmental budget
- Effectively set-up and fit patients with their equipment needs and deliver patient education.
- Educate patients on product information, use, and maintenance processes
- Configure DME equipment and fit for appropriate accessories
- Coordinate equipment data management and analysis
- Develops and implements processes to support patient care in alignment with DME compliance data
- Collaborates with care team to ensure care plans are supported with timely and accurate information
- Provides timely and accurate compliance information to providers
- Facilitate effective claim processing with DME aspects of care plan
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Partner and/or leader in quality improvement initiatives and community education events
- Serves as technical expert in developing new services
- Supports operational service needs to ensure care delivery

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:

Experience
- 1+ year fitting patients with DME
License/Certification/Registration
- Active Minnesota Basic Life Support certification (or willing to obtain within 2 months from hire date)
Preferred
Education
- Post High School education in a healthcare related field
Experience
- 1+ years working with oxygen patients in DME field
$22.51-$31.78 Hourly
