Job Description:The Quality Control Manager ensures consistent product quality across all facilities by leading inspection protocols, resolving non-conformances, and driving continuous improvement. This role oversees incoming, in-process, and final inspections, manages the QC Hold area, and collaborates cross-functionally to uphold manufacturing standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications:Responsibilities:
- Quality Operations & Inspection Oversight
- Leads inspections at all production stages: incoming, work-in-process, and final release
- Develops and manages sampling plans and inspection protocols
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of inspection records
- Team Leadership & Training
- Supervises QC staff across shifts and facilities
- Trains team on inspection methods, defect criteria, and equipment use
- Oversees calibration of inspection tools and lab instruments
- Product Non-Conformance Management
- Investigates quality holds and defects
- Leads Material Review Board (MRB) and product disposition
- Partners with QA and Production on root cause analysis and rework
- Packaging & Labeling Verification
- Oversees labeling, traceability, and packaging inspections
- Ensures batch, lot, and expiration data are accurate and compliant
- Data Management & Reporting
- Maintains inspection logs and dashboards
- Reports defect trends, scrap rates, and acceptance metrics
- Recommends process improvements based on inspection data
- Customer Credit Review & Complaint Support
- Provides technical data for credit reviews and claim validation
- Supports complaint investigations with inspection records
- Talent Development & Leadership
- Builds and mentors a high-performing QC team
- Assesses training needs and supports professional development
Qualifications:
- Strong grasp of quality control principles and inspection tools (e.g., AQL, micrometers)
- Proficient in defect tracking, dashboards, and ERP/QMS systems
- Effective leadership, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and time management
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- 6–10 years in quality control or manufacturing quality assurance
- 3+ years in a managerial role overseeing QC inspectors
- Experience in high-volume corrugated, flexographic, or digital printing environments
- Skilled in inspection planning, sampling, and non-conformance resolution

- Travel: Frequent travel to facilities in Los Angeles area
