Financial Accountant at Circle Furniture

Circle Furniture is hiring a dedicated financial professional to join our team as a Financial Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insight to drive the financial strategy of the company. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to quality and service in the home furnishings market.

As a Financial Accountant, you will work closely with Accounts Payable and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and budget compliance. Your analytical skills will be essential in interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and guiding decision-making processes to help Circle Furniture achieve its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Liase with our CPA firm to assist in preparing tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, providing insights to management and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Calculate commissions and bonuses for payroll.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in retail or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
