Drew University - Liberal Arts College seeks a part-time (20 hours per week during each semester) Lighting/Sound Technician to assist the Technical Director in managing and maintaining the lighting and sound in three (3) theatre spaces. The Lighting/Sound technician will supervise students in immersive experiences as part of Drew University’s launch program. The compensation for this position is: $6,750/ per semester, paid bi-weekly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serving as the master electrician for production.
- Organizing light hangs and sound load-in for our co-curricular production program.
- Training students on the safe and proper use of our lighting and sound equipment.
- Acting as the liaison to our lighting and sound design artists.
Job Experience/Education:
- Must have professional experience in lighting and/or sound and also act as the Production Sound Engineer.
- Able to teach and work with students of multiple abilities.
- Competency with ETC consoles, Q-lab, a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or three (3) years professional experience in a related field.
